Diagnostics and Surgeries

Diagnostics

Laboratory

Sunrise Veterinary Clinic offers evaluation via our in-house suite of diagnostic bloodwork and urinalysis machines, in addition to external laboratory services. We utilize the IDEXX "Catalyst Dx" machine to determine a litany of chemical, immunoassay, and electrolytic values, and whole blood analysis is done through our "Procyte Dx" machine. Together, these machines can uncover valuable information about the performance of your pet's organs.

Our doctors can also perform manual or machine-assisted urinalysis to check chemical concentration, and look for evidence of infection or the presence of crystals in a patient's urine. Blood gas analysis is also available to determine homeostasis oxygen, carbon dioxide and pH values. We also offer heartworm and several viral/disease tests (including Parvovirus) using IDEXX SNAP Tests. With these in-house tools at our disposal, we can not only perform accurate assessments of your pet's health, but do so in a timely and cost-effective manner.

X-Rays

Sometimes the issues our pets experience are not visible on the outside of their body. Sunrise Veterinary Clinic offers traditional body imaging as well as precision dental imaging - all digital for fast, easy review and sharing with you. These images can provide vital information about the inner workings of your pet, including heart and gastrointestinal functions.

Operations

Dentals

Regular teeth cleaning is recommended for all dogs and cats to help prevent tooth rot, infections, gum disease, and bad breath as your pet ages. A clean mouth is essential for your pet's quality of life. Dental cleaning is one of the most common procedures we perform here at Sunrise, and we have a complete arsenal of dental equipment - from x-rays to picks and polishers - to give your pet a smile that shines!

General Surgery

Most animals at some point in their lives will find themselves needing to go under the knife - be it a simple routine operation such as a spay or neuter, a lifesaving emergency such as a laceration repair or foreign object removal, or perhaps an operation to improve quality of life such as a lump removal or cruciate ligament repair. Whatever the case may be, our skilled surgeons, Drs. Abernathy and Hancock, are ready to put their decades of surgical experience to practice for the betterment of your pet's life.
