Monday Morning Walk-Ins

Monday Morning Walk-ins

We know appointments can be tough to get, and there are some problems that simply cannot wait. Each week, we offer the opportunity for you and your pet to be seen with no prior arrangements.

On Monday mornings, a sign will be posted on our west entrance (facing Highway 528) with numbered tickets. Starting at 4:00am, you may come by our office and pull a numbered ticket for each animal you would like seen. You must return to the office by 7:00am to sign in with your number. Dr. Abernathy will then see the first 10 pets as if they were regular appointments. The remaining pets will be dropped off, checked in, and seen later in the day.

While we make every effort to have your and your pet home after your walk-in visit, please note that some issues may require your pet to stay at the clinic for the day (or longer) while additional treatments and/or diagnostics are performed.

There is sometimes a line to pull numbers in the morning, but we ask that you please respect the 4:00am start time to take a number. The entrance is monitored by surveillance cameras and we take reports of early pulled numbers very seriously. Those found to have violated our rules will be prohibited from participating in future Monday morning walk-ins.

Although rare, Monday Morning Walk-Ins may be cancelled with little to no prior notice to our clients. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by such.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation and look forward to your visit!

House calls permit us to bring our highly qualified staff and medical expertise right to your home. Pets that are fearful or otherwise stressed by coming to our office can benefit from being examined in their own environment, where they are likely to feel more secure and calm. This permits us to better evaluate behavior and overall demeanor in a more relaxed and natural setting.

Very young, sick, or elderly pets or those that don’t tolerate transportation well can also benefit from our house-call services, as well as pets that don’t get along well with other animals and may become very stressed in our practice’s waiting room.

There are many reasons to consider taking advantage of our house-call services, so call today to learn if your pet might benefit from a different type of veterinary care experience. Let us know if you would like to have one of our professionals make a house call to assist you and your pet.
